Dr. Manika Singh joined Fisher Mills Animal Hospital in May 2023, bringing a wealth of experience and knowledge to our team. She earned her veterinary medicine degree from Pantnagar University, India, in 2010, and furthered her education with research programs at Cornell University, USA, and the University of Guelph, Canada. Dr. Manika has received certification from the Canadian Veterinary Medical Association (CVMA).
Before moving to Canada in 2020, Dr. Singh worked as a mixed animal veterinarian with the State Department in India for 8 years, where she received specialized training in small animal surgery and animal welfare through a program launched by Humane Society International (HSI). Her interests lie in internal medicine, clinical nutrition and soft tissue surgeries. She stays current with the latest developments in veterinary medicine and clinical nutrition. She believes that animal nutrition principles and feeding practices play a crucial role in animal healthcare and disease management.
Dr. Manika's compassion and dedication make her a valuable addition to our team. Outside of work, she's a devoted mom to her 11-year-old son and passionate about travelling and music.
